We started with consulting. We grew into products. We built BDC Academy because we could not find the operator education that Africa's builders deserved. Every product in our ecosystem answers a real problem we witnessed at close range.

Where it started
Before BDC, the founders saw the same pattern across industries — ambitious operators running complex businesses on spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads, and disconnected apps. Strong founders. Weak infrastructure. The gap between ambition and execution was entirely systemic.
Why systems, not advice
The consulting industry is full of people who charge to diagnose, advise, and leave. BDC was built on the opposite conviction: that the only meaningful outcome is working infrastructure. We do not present decks — we build the operating system and hand you the keys.
The Academy decision
BDC Academy was not part of the original plan. It emerged from watching the same operators fail not because they lacked ambition, but because there was no serious operator education built for African professionals. We built what did not exist — an XP-based learning system that produces practitioners, not credential-holders.
The long game
Everything BDC builds — the consulting engagements, the SaaS products, the academy, Oya Africa — is designed to compound. We are not chasing MRR. We are building infrastructure that outlasts trends and compounds for the operators who use it. Structure creates power. That is not a tagline. It is the thesis.
